Calling all ELA experts! Cambium Assessment is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Item Writer II to help shape the future of standardized assessments. This role is perfect for transitioning teachers with a love for literacy, testing, and crafting rigorous, high-quality content that reaches classrooms nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
Create engaging, standards-aligned reading and literacy test items and performance tasks
Collaborate with teams to develop simulations, interactive content, and support materials
Review, refine, and manage assessment items throughout development cycles
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field
2–3 years of relevant experience (teaching, curriculum, assessment, etc.)
Strong analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
Prior experience with standardized testing or item writing
Comfortable navigating multiple projects with deadlines
Willingness to travel up to 6 weeks/year (June–July windows)
