About the Role

Healthy Communities Consulting is hiring a Grant Writer/Project Associate to support health and human service nonprofits across the U.S. This fully remote role blends grant writing, research, budgeting, and project coordination to help clients secure critical funding. Perfect for someone with at least 5 years of nonprofit experience and a passion for health equity and social impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft grant narratives, compile data, and write supporting documents

  • Develop program budgets and budget justifications for proposals

  • Assist with federal and private grant submission processes (e.g., Grants.gov)

  • Conduct data research to support applications and program development

  • Analyze RFAs/NOFOs to advise clients on eligibility, timelines, and requirements

  • Collaborate with HCC’s principals to meet multiple client deadlines

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years working with health or human service nonprofits (grant writing experience preferred)

Preferred:

  • Grant writing and budget development

  • Data research and analytical thinking

  • Strong project coordination and time management

  • Understanding of social determinants of health and marginalized populations

  • Clear, professional communication skills
