About the Role

Twinkl is hiring a Middle School Science Curriculum Writer to create engaging, standards-aligned digital and printable teaching resources for science educators in the U.S. This remote, part-time role is ideal for experienced middle school teachers ready to pivot into curriculum development.

Key Responsibilities

• Write science resources aligned to state standards (grades 6–8)

• Research trends to ensure classroom relevance and teacher usability

• Submit weekly content deliverables and attend team check-ins

• Collaborate with editors, illustrators, and design staff to finalize resources

Qualifications

Required:

• Certified/licensed middle school teacher (TX or FL), in good standing

• 2+ years of recent experience teaching middle school science in a public school

• Strong grammar, organization, and self-management

• Reliable internet access and personal tech

Preferred:

• Experience with instructional design or curriculum development

• Passion for improving science education with digital tools
